this position. Job Summary Responsible to provide comprehensive
asset management for all Renewable Assets and components that are
associated with PSEG’s portfolio of Renewable Energy Projects and
Decarbonization / Electrification Initiatives. Those initiatives
may include, but are not limited to, Hydrogen Production,
Transmission, and Distribution Projects, Small Modular Reactor
(SMR) Projects, Carbon Capture Projects, Renewable Natural Gas
(RNG) Projects, Green Waste Energy Projects, Offshore Wind
Generation and Transmission Projects, Building/Vehicle
Electrification Projects, Energy Efficiency and any additional
Renewable or Decarbonization Projects or initiatives that may be
developed or implemented by PSEG. This complex role requires
extensive project development, execution, and operations
experience. Strong client relationship-building skills, good
leadership skills, and the ability to influence are required. Job
Responsibilities Lead in the project development stage including
identification of new Company growth opportunities; develop new
energy related projects from conception through construction; and
manage the performance of the asset to meet business objectives.
Lead in the project execution stage including design, schedule,
budget, maintenance plan, procurement, construction, installation
of equipment, and commissioning and testing. Lead in the operations
stage including leading plant operations and maintenance, maintain
O&M budget, and provide proper staffing and training, all with
a focus on safety. Lead the development and design of the overall
process systems and major component design and specification.
Identify necessary systems and interfaces, equipment and component
ratings, and necessary operations to support project objectives.
Lead the design of the overall process and mechanical systems and
provide engineering expertise, as well as oversight of engineering
and design activities. Perform extensive due diligence,
assessments, and develop selection recommendations for major
technologies, mechanical equipment and systems, and operating
methodologies. Lead the development and support the negotiations of
FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and EPC (Engineering
Procurement Construction) contracts. Identify project revenue
streams, establish relationships with end users, and collaborate
with internal PSEG departments to draft off-take agreements.
Establish and cultivate strong partnerships with key PSEG
stakeholders, including, but not limited to the PSEG Valuation and
Finance Teams, PSEG Tax Team, PSEG Government Affairs Teams and
PSEG Procurement and Legal Teams. Collaborate with PSEG Corporate
Real Estate and Environmental / Permitting Teams to evaluate
potential properties for PSEG projects, establish requirements for
site selection, and analyze site restrictions and permitting
requirements. Obtain required authorizations from the Affiliate
Transaction Council to use the services of the PSE&G utility
engineering division in the design and installation of electrical
or gas transmission and distribution systems related to renewable
energy or decarbonization projects. Establish and cultivate
relations with outside user groups, original equipment
manufacturers (OEMs), architectural/engineering (A/E) firms,
vendors, and other recognized industry experts. Develop and
continuously review the scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality
of assigned development projects, and help control and facilitate
any changes to assigned projects as they progress. Support the
development, review and approval of project execution plans, risk
management plans, construction management plans, and corresponding
site procedures. Job Specific Qualifications Degree in Engineering
or similar discipline or equivalent experience. 10 Years of power
generation Industry experience with a broad background in
engineering, operations and maintenance. 10 years of experience in
the development and implementation of large projects; Expertise in
industrial processes and system design and engineering. Capable of
leading engineering teams in system design and layout, development
of ratings for system and equipment and major equipment
specifications. Ability to lead and direct various vendors,
consultants and equipment manufacturers to ensure proper
coordination and interface between each. Expertise in analyzing
flow diagrams, heat balances, P&IDs, equipment performance data
and recommending the appropriate type or manufacturer(s) of
equipment that best suits the project objectives. Able to lead
teams in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) reviews. Knowledgeable of
fabrication and manufacturing processes and quality
assurance/quality control requirements. Support the development of
offshore cable routing, evaluation and identify cable landfall
locations from a mechanical aspect. Strong development, project
management, and operations experience and competencies, and have a
good understanding of leading diverse project teams, and driving
project performance. Ability to professionally represent the
Company with outside vendors, customers, and partners. Ability to
work in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities, under
high stress. Must be commercially savvy, understands how to
document deals and make contractual arrangements, and must be able
to communicate and explain complex business deals and structures.
Proven experience in applying lessons learned from previous
experience. Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is
required. Desired Skill: Knowledge/experience in offshore wind Some
positions at PSEG require access to information covered by the
Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 (Part 810). If
