Job Description:
Duties--- You will perform quality assurance review of drawings,
specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and studies prepared
by A/E design firms.--- You will provide civil engineering support
to active construction projects including the following activities:
submittal review, respond to RFIs, quality assurance site visits
and inspections, commissioning, and project closeout.--- You will
ensure that the civil aspects of projects are constructed in
accordance with contract plans and specifications.--- You will
investigate construction to identify major problems and initiate
corrective actions.--- You will meet with personnel (e.g.,
architectural and engineering experts, consultants, construction
managers, and customers) to resolve construction project issues.---
You will prepare civil engineering designs for new construction and
investigate existing conditions to develop recommendations for
necessary repairs and modifications.--- You will complete design
drawings, calculations, and specifications with design and drafting
softwareRequirements Conditions of Employment--- Must be a US

Providing services for civil engineering projects involving
planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities; 2)
Interpreting objectives and policies in order to resolve a variety
of complex water or wastewater system problems; 3) Applying project
management techniques to ensure proper coordination, planning,
budgeting and execution of facility or utility projects; and 4)
Using knowledge of large commercial / industrial facilities such as
wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems and structures
to independently perform technical review of complex, advanced
components of the facility and manufactured elements of the

science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of
materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics,
hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits;
(f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and
aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable
area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics,
heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronicsSuch education must
demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do
the work of the positionOR Current registration as an Engineer
Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a
Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia,
