Job Description Job Description GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Genesis
Packaging Technologies, a Division of RV Industries, Inc, provides
a line of Parenteral Vial Capping machinery and Laboratory
Inspection Equipment used primarily in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
This product line is a highly configurable standard product. Our
objective is to differentiate our product by providing market
leading energy efficiency, process flexibility, and non-proprietary
components backed by excellent service and support. The Electrical
Design Engineer is responsible for the electrical and controls
review of job specifications, verifying the capper configuration
quoted fulfills all specs, codes, and standards referenced. There
are design standards to follow and manage for this specialized
equipment along with continuous improvement initiatives to
champion. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES Responsible for the PO review,
specification review and all pertinent technical documentation
required to build, assemble and test the equipment. This includes
Customer URS, Functional Specification, P&ID, drawings,
component specifications, bills of materials and procedures. Select
electrical controls hardware to meet job or customer’s
specifications Design, develop, and maintain PLC based control
system programs Create and maintain all life cycle documentation
related to the PLC control system (URS, FRS, SDS, Validation
Protocols, FAT, IQ/OQ, Manuals, etc.) Responsible for the quality
of the control system as it relates to fulfillment of project
specifications, FRS, and all applicable codes and standards Support
the maintenance of electrical and mechanical drawings, diagrams,
design documents, hardware part numbers, programs, and manuals
documentation related to, or supporting, the PLC control system
Responsible for executing product enhancement and development
projects. This includes leading team evaluations of engineering
change requests, defining scope of engineering changes, and
verifying results of executed changes. This position is responsible
for directing product development projects, continuous improvement
from a quality and cost perspective. Generate required testing
protocols to validate the use of new components or processes. This
position will have responsibilities for the ECR/ECN system Write
and Research ECR’s for review by the “ECR review board”. Verify
form/fit/function is or is not affected. Identify all active
drawings affected by a given ECR (reference matrix). Red line the
affected drawings or evaluate for obsolescence. Establish the ECR
dispositions. Verify electronic filing of all relevant ECR/ECN
information. Be able and willing to travel globally when necessary
Assist Sales, Project Managers, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing,
Testing and Installation with all technical issues related to the
product. Communicate with our customer’s technical personnel.
Ownership of all documentation related to the technical aspects of
a project Project Manage budget’s and schedules
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Skill Requirements: A genuine care

for mechanical and controls design and manufacturing methods Highly
detail oriented for the purpose of creating and upholding design
standards. Multiple years of experience with Autocad and Solidworks
Understanding of P&ID diagrams Pneumatic controls and component
specification Create P&ID diagrams, Process diagrams, Wiring
Diagrams and Panel Layouts Strong Technical Writing Skills
Electrical Control Hardware Selection Ladder Logic, Function Block
and Structured Text Programming Studio 5000, RS Logix 500, RS Logix
5000 Programming PanelView / PanelView Programming SCADA software
design utilizing Blue Open Studio or similar software Variable
Frequency Drives and Servo Drive Selection and Programming Safety
PLC and Safety Relay Selection and Programming Interface
Communication Protocols Proficient with Microsoft Office
applications Technical writing Create and/or check layout &
detailed drawings Write specs for buyout components Create Bills of
Materials for purchasing and production Strong Communication &
Organizational skills Willing to Train The Right Candidate: Project
Management Experience cGMP validation protocols, cGMP design
protocols, cGMP documentation protocols Vision System Selection and
Programming Panel PC and Industrial PC Data acquisition and SCADA
system development EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS BS degree in
Mechanical Engineering Must be able to perform all essential
