We have strong beliefs and convictions and look to partner with like-minded start-up's as a key criteria of our investment philosophy.We are looking for a bright, self-motivated, and thoughtful Associate Venture and Finance Manager with 5+ years professional experience. The Associate Manager will have a dual focus. First, lead financial management and reporting related to Danone Venture's portfolio companies and associated investments, including working with portfolio company financial leaders and liaising with Danone accounting and finance teams. Second, support the strategic thinking and assessment related to our investment territories and execution of our investments, which includes sourcing, investment research, building financial and other quantitative models, conducting due diligence, creating investment recommendations. This Associate Manager will also play a important role in the operations of the team, helping manage the day-to-day activities supporting broader Danone initiatives in which DV in involved. This role is based out of our New York, NY office!Responsibilities: --- Lead financial management and reporting related to DV's investments and consolidated companies. Work closely with portfolio company finance leads and Danone finance colleagues to accurately report Danone Venture's financial and investment holdings. --- Work with DV Managing Director and Danone accounting and finance teams in the US and Europe to reforecast and update team as needed on investments --- Lead strategic deep dives in to investment focus areas. Identify trends, relevant funds and programs (universities, accelerators, incubators), and interesting start-ups. --- Support the investment process. Specifically, work with the team to identify investment prospects, conduct screenings, perform due diligence on prospective companies, research industries and competitors, and build financial models --- Perform market research and due diligence for potential investments, which will entail valuation and financial returns analysis --- Manage of team initiatives supporting the general operations of Danone Ventures Candidate Qualifications (About You): Education and Experience: --- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields from a top university, MBA preferred --- Relevant experience (5+ years), preferably from Investment Banking, Equity Research, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Strategy ConsultingAbout you--- You have a strong understanding and experience with accounting and corporate finance --- You must have experience with financial modeling, research and analysis, and presentation building --- You have demonstrated analytical ability, critical thinking, and attention to detail --- You have experience with and interest in food & beverage or other similar consumer verticals --- You have knowledge of syndicated data (IRI, SPINS, Nielsen) a plus --- You hae strong proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint, Word --- You are a motivated self-starter with ability to work well in a fast-paced and lean environment --- You have strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills --- You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a small team --- You have the ability to work in the New York City office (hybrid schedule)The base compensation range for this position is $110k-120k commensurate with experience.
