This Full Time Position will provide pre and post op care, provide practice support, and assist on Orthopedic/Urological surgeries for CarePoint Health System.
Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses including giving injections and suturing wounds. Consults with physicians as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of a PA's scope of work.
• Monitors therapies and provides continuity of care.
• Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Responds to emergencies including use of CPR.
• Counsels patient/family on preventive health care.
• Documents patient information and care in medical record and may maintain department statistical database for research purposes.
• Assesses patient status by obtaining health history through patient/family interviews and chart reviews; assessing presenting illness, risk factors, and family history, psychosocial situation, and cultural factors; and performing appropriate physical examination.
• Orders/performs appropriate laboratory diagnostic and other screening tests. Integrates data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, including identification of any health risks.What We're Looking For:
  • Active NJ PA License
  • Availability to start withing 90 days
  • 1+ Years of Surgical Assist Experience (preferably in Orthopedics/Urology)What We Offer:
