Registered Nurse (RN) - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Staten Island, NY Full-Time Monday-Thursday 6am-2pm Saturday 6am-2pm Salary: $90,000-$95,000/yr Healthcare staff can work anywhere. The BEST work with US! The Role Under general direction, The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care, as assigned, to agency clients in accordance with agency policies and procedures and current standards of Nursing Practice. Completes assigned duties and documents in the medical record in accordance with medical record policies and procedures. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village. What You Will Do Assess the health status of clients assigned to the daily work schedule and develop a plan of care. Perform and document Nursing Intake/Medical History in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Triage the sick call list as assigned and make referrals for treatment to the appropriate level of medical practitioner. Complete follow-up assessments of clients treated for chronic and/or acute illnesses to monitor the effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Screen clients for TB by administering PPD and assessing the reaction. Monitor lab values to identify abnormalities and report them to the attending physician or physician's assistant. Review medical records to assess the care being provided and to ensure continuity of care. Review the entire medical record of clients being transferred to identify problems and the need for follow-up appointments or diagnostic evaluations. Who You Will Be NYS RN licensure. BLS certification Associate's Degree in Nursing. Minimum of One-Three (1-3) year demonstrated experience as an RN preferably working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI). Available to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to participant and staff needs. Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to put patients at ease and explain physician's instructions. Ability to multi-task with excellent organization skills. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Knowledge of medical terminology.
