Job Description:
About This Job:As the HR Generalist, you will plan, lead,
direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, of the
Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and
implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership
to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to
staffing, recruiting, and retention. The responsibilities of the HR
Generalist include, but are not limited to:--- Monitor and ensure
the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local
employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices;
reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain
compliance.--- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices,
regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent
management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to
communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper
management.--- Facilitate professional development, training, and
certification activities for staff.--- Manage all worker's comp
incidents, report claims, coordinate care, record, and file OSHA
records.--- Manage all aspects of annual ACA compliance.--- Act as
plan administrator for retirement plan.--- Manage driver safety
program, records, trainings, MVR screenings, accidents and
coordinating with insurance carriers.--- Maintain positive work
relations; support teamwork and help coworkers to accomplish team
goals.--- Listen and communicate respectfully with employees at all
levels within the organization and outside vendors.--- Maintain
regular attendance and follow call out and time off procedures as
outlined in the handbook.--- Comply with company policies and
procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook--- Recruit,
interview, hire, and train new staff in the department. As well as
handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with
company policy.Requirements:--- Bachelor's degree in Human
Resources, Business Administration, or related field required;
Master's degree preferred.--- At least 5 years of human resource
management experience required.--- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly
preferred.--- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and
employees.--- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when
appropriate.--- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and
regulations.--- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn
the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.---
Proficiency navigating web and social-media-based platforms for
recruiting, employee surveys, employee rewards, etc.
