Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste
management in the U.S. Northeast region, is seeking a dedicated
Overnight Operations Manager to oversee our night-time operations.
The role focuses on ensuring smooth, effective, and compliant waste
collection, transfer, and processing activities during the
overnight hours. This position is critical in maintaining the
efficiency and reliability of our services, while upholding our
commitment to environmental responsibility. Manage and coordinate
overnight waste processing and disposal operations ensuring
compliance with state and federal regulations. Supervise, train,
and evaluate night shift employees to ensure operational efficiency
and safety standards are met. Monitor facility equipment and
vehicles, coordinating maintenance and repairs to minimize
downtime. Implement and oversee waste sorting and recycling
processes to maximize recovery and minimize contamination. Prepare
and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and
efficiency. Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations
effectively, adjusting operations as necessary to maintain safety
and compliance. Collaborate with other department managers to
optimize operational procedures and improve service delivery.

ethical practices. Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Competency in
using industry-standard software for logistics and operations
management Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations
and compliance standards Ability to solve problems quickly and
efficiently under pressure Medical Insurance 401k Certified Waste
Management Professional (optional but preferred) OSHA Safety
Certification CPR and First Aid Certification (recommended)
