The CNM performs physical examinations, confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, and works hand in hand with other providers in a synergistic and cooperative manner. As a midwife in the care center, their job duties include but are not limited to:Practices under the standard procedure established for the CNM role consistent with Company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements.Conducts age - appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol.Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial. cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.Consults with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department to assure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service.Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols.Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice.Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning.Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team.Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information.On call requirements.Qualifications:Active, unrestricted New Jersey CNM medical license, Prescriptive Authority, CDS, & DEA.CNM Board Certification through AMCB.Minimum 1 year full-scope Midwifery experience required.Eligible to participate in state programs including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.Full-Time Benefits Summary:Group-reimbursed CNM license, CDS, DEA, and renewals.Company-Paid Medical Malpractice Insurance!Full-time benefit eligibility with benefits beginning the first of the month after starting.Additional insurance options, including dental, vision, supplemental life insurance, FSA, HSA, identity theft, long term care, pet insurance and more!401(k) matching!PTO including PTO for CME attendance!Reimbursement allowance for approved professional expenses, e.g., CME.Company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability.Access to discounts on Hotels, Theme Parks, Gym Memberships, and more through the Great Work Perks Program.Axia Women's Health has been recognized as a Great Place to Work for a 3rd consecutive year.At Axia Women's Health, we're passionate about creating a community where our colleagues and patients feel empowered to be their full, authentic selves.
