Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Logistics, the position has
overall responsibility for all internal and external (3PL)
warehouse and distribution operations for the Eastern United
States. The position is located at the ofi facility in Bayonne New
Jersey. The position is responsible for overall warehousing,
staffing and asset planning strategies to ensure cost and service
objectives are achieved. The scope of the position includes raw
materials, packaging and finished goods inventory and movements to
support manufacturing and customer order fulfillment.
Position Responsibilities :
--- Oversee and support two warehouse workstreams: manufacturing
support and distribution warehouse sites.
--- Plan, manage, and execute all manufacturing warehousing and
distribution related functions to achieve goals consistent with
supply chain vision and provide excellent service to internal and
external customers.
Lead and strengthen existing 3PL relationships. Driving 3PL's
accountability against expected performance and contractual
obligations. Evaluating new 3PL relationships that fit ofi's
long-term growth strategy.
Recommend warehouse operating budget along with capital expenditure
requirements; effectively administer, control, and develop the
systems, layout, labor, and policies necessary to achieve effective
expense control.
Responsible for total inventory control by ensuring compliance with
ofi inventory policies and procedures to include cycle counting
program for all warehouse locations.
--- Manage for success using KPIs to measure service, labor,
performance, inventory, and utilization of warehouse and
distribution operations.
--- Accountable for compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations governing warehouse operations by monitoring
implementation and practice to ensure compliance.
--- Maintain a safe and secure environment for team members;
promote and adhere to safety programs, procedures, and
policies.
--- Provide warehouse team members with training required to
complete their job along with cross-training team members to
provide development opportunities for career advancement.
Position Requirements:
--- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related
field preferred
--- 10 or more years of combined experience in material handling,
automation, manufacturing, supply chain, process improvement,
and/or distribution in an omni-channel environment.
--- Experience with Tier 1 ERP and WMS systems in operating
warehouse and distribution operations.
--- Strong leadership attributes with the ability to drive
performance across a diverse team of associates in a warehouse
environment
--- Effective leadership, facilitator, and influencer within a team
and internal customers.
--- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with
the ability to communicate effectively to all levels within
organization.
--- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time is
required.
--- Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities
