• The duties of the Echocardiogram Technician level II may include, but are not limited to:
• The ability to perform all of the major duties and functions of an Echocardiogram Technician including but not limited to Transthoracic echocardiogram, bubble study, strain imaging, Definity and stress echocardiogram.
• Performance of pediatric cardiology studies as trained.
• Delegation, when warranted, of specific responsibilities to the technical and/or ancillary staff.
• Operation and maintenance of the laboratory equipment.
• Supervision of sonography students.
• Working collaboratively with the Medical Director, medical, nursing, administrative and technical staff to ensure quality patient care.Requirements
  • Valid certification in Sonography issued by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); and
  • One (1) year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Must have appropriate credentialing in echocardiography from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
